Why Kid Doc?
Empowerment
Kid Doc opens young minds to the possibility of becoming a medical doctor at an impressionable age. Through fun, hands-on instruction led by doctors that look like them, our students learn what a physician career could look like for them.
Encouragement
At Kid Doc, every child is encouraged to reach their fullest potential. Our dedicated team of medical professionals nurtures a supportive atmosphere, inspiring confidence and a can-do attitude towards pursuing a career in medicine.
Meet Our Leader
Dr. Nikita Lindsay is currently a pediatrician in Fort Mill, SC. She received a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Winston Salem State University and her Doctorate of Medicine from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. She completed the Pediatric Residency Program at Carolinas Healthcare System and has been in private practice with Rock Hill Pediatric Associates since completing residency.
Dr. Lindsay believes that representation matters in all area of life. This idea was at the heart of her decision to create Kid Doc Summer Camp. She believes that if you can see it, you are empowered to achieve it. She hopes that all graduates of KDSC go on to live the mantra the students recite every day during camp, “Kid Today. Doc Tomorrow!”
